Photography

To take. To capture. To shoot.

Words like these belong to the language of dominance, turning sentient beings into targets, possessions, trophies.
Our language shapes the way we see. And the way we see shapes the way we meet the earth.
But imagine another way of walking the world with a camera.

Not just spending time in nature, but being with it.
Change the relationship, and the photographs change.

The extraordinary part, to me, is not what I can make of a moment afterwards.

It is that this moment existed at all — and that, for a little while,
I was there to witness it.

If these photos carry anything at all, let it be this:

Another way of meeting the Earth is possible.
